The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today published a Federal Register notice announcing re-registration procedures and extending the validity of Temporary Protected Status (TPS)-related documentation for beneficiaries under the TPS designations for El Salvador, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua, and under the 2011 designation of Haiti and the 2013 designation of Sudan provided the beneficiaries remain individually eligible for TPS.
The notice automatically extends through June 30, 2024, the validity of Forms I-766, Employment Authorization Documents (EADs); Forms I-797, Notice of Action; and Forms I-94, Arrival/Departure Record (collectively, TPS-related documentation) for beneficiaries under the TPS designations for these six countries.
DHS is extending the TPS documentation in compliance with the preliminary injunction order of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in Ramos et al. v. Nielsen et al. and with the order of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to stay proceedings in Bhattarai v. Nielsen.
