USCIS Designates Yemen for TPS

On September 3, 2015, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the designation of Yemen for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months effective September 3, 2015, through March 3, 2017.

  • The designation allows Yemeni nationals who have resided in the United States since September 3, 2015 to apply for TPS and for an employment authorization document (EAD). Once the beneficiary is granted TPS and receives an EAD, he or she is authorized to work.
